In September 2015, leaders from around the world came together to adopt an ambitious plan to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This plan materialized in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, with clear goals to be achieved before 2030.

1. Eradication of poverty

Eliminate poverty in all its forms and dimensions. Ensure that all people have access to basic resources such as food, clean water, education and health care.

2. Zero hunger

Achieve food security and improved nutrition, ensuring that all people have access to sufficient, nutritious and sustainable food.

3. Health and Wellness

Ensure healthy lives and promote global well-being. Reduce child and maternal mortality, combat diseases and improve access to health services.

4. Quality education

Provide inclusive, equitable and quality education. Eliminate barriers to access to education and promote lifelong learning opportunities.

5. Gender Equality

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Eliminate gender-based discrimination and violence.

6. Clean water and sanitation

Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

7. Affordable and clean energy

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy. Promote renewable energy sources and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

8. Decent work and economic growth

Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, ensuring full and productive employment and decent work for all.

9. Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

Encourage sustainable industrialization, promote technological innovation and improve infrastructure to support sustainable development.

10. Reducing inequalities

Reduce inequalities within and between countries, addressing economic, social and political disparities.

11. Sustainable cities and communities

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

12. Responsible consumption

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, promoting efficient management of natural resources.

13. Climate action

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its effects

14. Underwater life

Conserve and sustainably use oceans, seas and marine resources.

15. Life in terrestrial ecosystems

Protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems and stop the loss of biodiversity.

16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Promote peaceful, just and inclusive societies, strengthening institutions to achieve sustainable development.

17. Alliances to achieve the objectives

Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development, promoting collaboration between governments, the private sector and civil society.

Achieving these goals is essential to building a sustainable, just and prosperous future for everyone. The responsibility lies with each of us to take concrete steps that will lead us to a better world.
